Empowering Women in East & South-East Asia

You are invited to attend a lunch with Dr Jean D'Cunha, Regional Director of UNIFEM East & South-East Asia in Sydney on Wednesday 27th August in Sydney.

Dr Jean D’Cunha was previously the Regional Advisor/Programme Manager of the Regional Programme on Empowering Women Migrant Workers in Asia. Jean trained as a sociologist, and has researched many difficult issues affecting women including prostitution and trafficking, and women and violence. She has written on gender concerns for Indian and international journals, lectured in the Department of Sociology at St. Xavier's College, and won a national award for journalism on women's issues in India in 1986.
