Spring Walks are held throughout Australia from 21st September (International Peace Day) and 10th October (Human Rights Day) in recognition of the fact that most women in developing countries walk more than 5kms each day for water and firewood for their families.

Each year, we ask people to donate $2 for each kilometre walked to UNIFEM Australia. The funds raised go towards supporting our Peace Scholarship Program, which brings women from developing countries to Australia to study.

White Ribbon Gala Dinner

The White Ribbon Day organisation will be holding their White Gala Dinner on 17th September at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

It will be a fabulous night with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd delivering a keynote speech and will have the dynamic duo, Adam Spencer and Will Anderson who will take on political heavyweights in the Great Ambassadors Debate!!
